Čaŋkú Lúta win | Shawnta’ Jones is an Oglala Lakota mother, aunty, daughter, sister and educator. She holds a Bachelor’s from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master’s in Education from Johns Hopkins University. As Director of Youth Leadership Development at Thunder Valley Community Development Corporation, she also leads the development of our Lakota Living Learning Campus and curriculum design. Working alongside Elders and fluent speakers, Shawnta’ centers Lakota ways of knowing, intergenerational learning, and cultural identity to advance equity and opportunity for youth in all aspects.
