Kenyon was raised in the Missouri River Valley and then the Puget Sound, where he graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Economics & Political Science and a minor in Latin. He moved to Spearfish, South Dakota, at the start of the pandemic to explore his passions for language, identity, and stories, learning about the ways our words shape our worlds.

Kenyon has worked for and with Thunder Valley for more than five years in various employee and contracted communications roles. As Fundraising and Grantwriting Specialist, he is excited to use his passion for the written word to build funding relationships that enable Thunder Valley to nurture Lakota lifeways.
