WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Thunder Valley’s Workforce Development Initiative is uniquely designed to liberate our young adults through a multifaceted program that provides on the job training, continuing education, social-emotional development and soft skills development. This program not only empowers our own people, but also serves as a model to other communities when developing and delivering workforce training to Indigenous youth.
Cohorts of young adults participate in holistic programming of healing, education and workforce readiness. Our programming includes activities as varied as visiting Sacred Sites, construction training, OSHA 10 training and certification, CPR & First Aid Training and Certification, solar equipment installation training, social and emotional healing classes and Lakota lifeways teachings.
