Achanté Davis
Achanté Davis is a New Orleans born educator, multidisciplinary artist, and creative entrepreneur. Achanté focuses primarily on photography, illustration, and graphic design. She also emphasizes story building and writing within her projects. Achanté has worked alongside various youth-serving organizations including, but not limited to Outlast Arts and Education and Allen Youth Center in Allen, SD where she also serves as a member of the board.
LaTerrian “LT” Officer-McIntosh
LaTerrian “LT” Officer-McIntosh is the Founder and Executive Director of Outlast Arts and Education, a non-profit organization that provides film and media education to Indigenous youth from rural communities in South Dakota. LT graduated from The University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. Since graduating, she’s worked on several major Hollywood productions, including Marvel’s Black Panther, HBO’s True Detective Season 3, Showtime’s Kidding Season 2, and Promising Young Woman. She holds a Master’s in Education from Johns Hopkins University. She is passionate about bridging the gap between Indigenous and Black communities, storytelling, and access to quality arts education for children of color.
Ruben Contreras
Ruben is from Sacramento, CA, where he was taught how to use a camera at an early age from his father, who learned from his father. Turning passion into career, Ruben works as a cinematographer in both fiction and documentary spaces telling stories of underrepresented communities in a mission to bring visibility and understanding to a wider audience. Projects that Ruben has served as cinematographer on have received numerous awards including a CLIO Award, Best Series and Best Documentary at Tribeca X. Ruben earned his Masters at the USC School of Cinematic Arts Graduate Film and Television Production Program where he received the Edward and Mildred Troutner Award for Cinematography. Ruben believes strongly in supporting under represented communities in creating their own stories. He has served as an educator in The Academy Museum’s “The Promise Workshops” and at Outlast Arts and Education Film Camp at the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
