Thunder Valley CDC is glad to be able to provide an informational session about our Ecosystem of Opportunity to people visiting the Pine Ridge Reservation. This includes the 34 acre Regenerative Community Development that visitors will have an opportunity to view. Our mission is "Empowering Lakota youth and families to improve the health, culture and environment of our communities, through the healing and strengthening of cultural identity". Through our work we are building power in our community to create systemic change.
Our tours are generally one hour, typically led by Andrew Iron Shell, the Community Engagement Coordinator.
We ask that groups consider giving a donation for our time in giving these tours. Groups over 10 have a suggested donation of $200.00 Donations can be made out to Thunder Valley CDC or made online at http://www.thundervalley.org/donate
Andrew Iron Shell will be in contact with you to confirm your tour. We look forward to visiting with you and sharing our story.
Local community members are always encouraged to stop by and learn about what we are doing anytime. Please call Andrew Iron Shell (605-455-2700) if you would like to schedule a time to meet.
